A Happy Tail's puppy will weigh between 30 and 40 lbs (though we are hoping to get to the smaller, 20 lb range in the next few litters) and will stand between 24 and 28 inches full grown.
A Happy Tails' puppy will cost either $3,750 or $4,000 depending on breed percentage. Any puppies that are ONLY a mix of poodle and golden retriever or ONLY a mix of golden retriever and cocker spaniel will be $3,750, and any puppy that is a mix of all three breeds will cost $4,000.
We do offer flight nanny services! If you live too far away to drive, you can either meet us at our local airport or you can hire our wonderful flight nanny to bring your darling little puppy to you!
Our puppies have a wide variety of colors at the moment. We offer white/cream miniature golden retriever puppies and dark gold/red miniature golden retriever puppies. Other colors include light gold, medium gold, and dark gold.
Our puppies stay with their mamas for 8 weeks. This time is essential for your puppy to learn what it means to be a dog, how to interact in a pack, and how to treat other dogs with good manners. This is an essential time frame for their growth and maturity.
If you are unable to take your puppy home in the first five days after their go-home date, we are more than happy to hang onto your little bundle of joy for you! We have an additional fee that will cover food and continued training while they continue to stay with us.
We begin potty training with our puppies from 4-8 weeks old. We begin crate training and introductions the last 1.5 weeks before the puppies go home. We complete the ENS training program with our puppies from days 3-14, go through water/touch/sound therapy with every puppy, introduce them to baths and handling, and socialize them with other dogs and people, all before they go home.
Each puppy goes home with registration papers, a health check signed by our vet, two rounds of dewormer (and one round that we send home with you), two doses of Parvo vaccine (and one that we send home with you), a blanket/toy that smells like mom and littermates, a bottle of shampoo, a small bag of the food the puppy has been on, and some potty pads for the ride/flight home.
All of our mama dogs at the moment are all either full golden retrievers, unfurnished goldendoodles, or golden cocker retrievers. We have never seen any negative downfalls of having a dog with only two breeds instead of the usual three. They are all absolutely beautiful, have identical shedding, have wonderful personalities and temperaments, and are quick to learn and easy to please. Any puppy you get from us will be one in a million, no matter if it's a mix of all three breeds or the occasional two.
