Teddy - $2,500

All About Teddy:

Teddy will be two in the spring of 2027, and he has produced one litter with us. Unfortunately, Teddy's curly coat goes against the mini golden breed standard, so using him as a stud has some disadvantages, which is so sad because he is an absolutely amazing pup! He is fiercely loyal, protective, cuddly, smart, and eager to please. He's not hyper or energetic at all, much preferring to stay by your side and follow you around like the little shadow he is. He's doesn't get nervous or anxious as smaller-sized breeds usually do. He has produced one litter with us, and that litter had a total of nine puppies! He is 12 lbs fully grown, making him the perfect size for adventuring, and he can also fly with you on any plane rides you go on, since he matches the ideal size for flying under the seat! He has a curly, low-shedding mahogany red coat, deep brown eyes, and the cutest little ears.

Specifics: Teddy does great with female dogs and younger male dogs. Unfortunately the hormones that male dogs have around female dogs can make them competitive or aggressive with each other when they're in heat, so he doesn't have a whole lot of experience with older male dogs. We believe he would do fine when with other males when he is neutered and his hormones have calmed down. He is more of a home body, preferring to stay inside and cuddle or watch the world go by. He is protective of his home and family, making him cautious of immediate strangers, but if you so much as feed him one treat and pet him for three seconds, he would sell his and my soul for you. He would be happiest in a quiet, easy-going home (he loves kids, but would also do fine without them) with a few occasional adventures outside. I personally think that - as far as animals go - Teddy would do amazing with cats or livestock or older dogs. I can't guarantee his behavior with males (as he hasn't had a whole lot of experience being around them) but he does great with females.

Breeding service: We would be open to selling Teddy as a breeding dog, but the cost for that will change. He is completely clear of any genetic diseases via embark (and isn't a carrier, either), and passed all of his OFA prelims (available upon request). He carries the genes for dark red, low-shedding puppies. He is an F2B mini goldendoodle, 4% golden retriever and 96% poodle, with 8/10 red genes. We've only had one litter with him, and he produced nine puppies in that litter. He has great drive and motivation when it comes to girls and is the very opposite of a lazy breeder. He only has one furnished gene, so if you were breeding him for curly-coated dogs you'd have to watch what the moms carried. We have a few guidelines for if we sell him as a breeding dog, but feel free to reach out if you're interested!

When can you get him: Teddy can go home as soon as he has been neutered and healed from the procedure, which we will start on once he has a retirement home set up. You are responsible for all travel arrangements, but we can fly him to you through a nanny service if you'd like! If you're interested in him as a breeding dog, he's ready to go at any time.
