It all started with a dream... 

I have loved golden retrievers my entire life. Even before I knew they were popular, or that they were America's favorite dog, or even that they were an amazing breed. I loved the golden retrievers that lived on our road and licked my hands and arms and sat when I asked them to. I loved golden retrievers even then. 

As a young girl, we didn't get our first dog till I was around ten years old. Her name was Ginger, and she was a blue heeler/aussie mix from a rescue. She was the laziest, most quiet, easy-going girl and acted ten years older than her age, even as a puppy. We doted and loved on her and she caught on to everything almost too easily. When she was two years old, our neighbor's dog snuck into our yard and BAM, two months later we had a litter of puppies. It was so fun to raise and look after the little babies, even if they were a handful, and low and behold it happened again much sooner than it should have, this time without us knowing about it till she was almost due. We quickly got her spayed so an accident like that wouldn't happen again, but I was already hooked. 

Years later, I approached the idea of starting a business with my mom with breeding dogs. I loved the dogs, I loved being around them, I loved training them, and I wasn't grossed out about things that I probably should have been. She told me that she was open to the idea, so we started looking together for the best breed for us. 

Through the process, we started to realize that most golden retrievers were a good deal larger than the dog we currently owned and the puppies we had raised in the past. We had young kids in our house and their friends coming over all the time, and we also liked to travel, so a larger dog didn't match our lifestyle. My mom was also quick to remind me that we had members of our family who were allergic to most long-haired breeds and their dandruff, so we'd need to find one who was hypoallergenic. 

This made me a little frustrated because the ONLY hypoallergenic dog I knew of was poodle crosses, and I didn't really love poodles. So I set out to find a breed that would fit what we both wanted, and low and behold, the perfect one existed... 

I officially had a vision. I'd been watching dog training videos, behaviorists, breeders, setups, and puppy channels for years in preparation for finally kick-starting this idea I had. The only thing I needed was the perfect momma dog, and I had already found her. 

Willow was a field golden retriever from a reputable breeder not far from us. She and I were immediately best friends, doing everything together and going everywhere together. She was obedient, smart, and just the perfect amount of sly and playful. We didn't know just how genetically perfect she was until much later, but she was perfect to me from the very start. 

She had her first litter in 2024, and it was the best day of my life! I sat in with her and her puppies for hours on end, just watching them, so awe-struck and happy that this dream I'd had for so long was finally coming true! We kept two little girls from that litter, and that was the start of it all. 

Now two years later we've done six litters and have the most amazing lineup of parent dogs, most of which come from Willow because - like I said - she's just perfect! Her daughters have all been an amazing representation of her and the perfection of this breed, and I'm so happy when other people recognize it as well! I've had many experiences to learn about dog behavior and pack dynamics by watching dog behaviorists, training videos, and how my dogs interact and discover their own hierarchy. They have taught me so much, and I'm always learning more. 

My dogs have been analyzed and interviewed by multiple dog trainers and service dog companies, and each one was so amazed by their understanding, drive, motivation, and smarts! I've had two pups go on to become service dogs, and another to become a therapy dog, and if that doesn't tell you the perfection of this breed, I'm not sure what will! 

Now I'm two years in and already planning for the next seven! I have so many ideas, hopes, and goals I'd like to reach with the puppies I produce and the parents I take care of, as well as the setup, structure, and exposure the puppies experience while they're with me! These dogs are my family, and I treat them as such, and I appreciate greatly those who are able to see it and recognize it!
