Meet Our Mini Golden Retriever Mamas!

Willow comes from Atkinson's Golden's Cookie and Teton River's Red Fisher! Willow is Genetically Clear on DM, GRPRA 1, GRPRA 2, ICH, MD, NCLGR, and prcd. She is DNA, OFA Hips , Heart, & Elbows, and Pennhip clear through parentage. Willow is a 100% field-bred golden retriever; this means that she is tall and athletic, with long legs, a longer muzzle, and a lighter-shedding coat.  Willow is 100% clear​ on Genetic Testing (through parentage), has a normal pen-hip ratio, and has good elbows and eyes. Willow has been health checked by a veterinarian, has had all her deworming and vaccines, and is fed PawTree kibble to ensure good health and temperament. Willow is completely clear of the IVDD gene (common in poodles, spaniels, and other small breeds), carries the TT gene for lower shedding, and she has high red genes for coloring. 

Willow has a very sweet, eager-to-please, happy, and loyal personality. She loves to sit and lay next to you on lazy days and run around the yard playing fetch whenever she can. Willow isn't a huge fan of baths, but she loves to swim in the lakes and ponds around our property whenever she is allowed. Willow loves meeting new friends - whether people or other animals - and is always quick to let them know how happy and smart she is! As for her trainability, Willow learned most of the tricks she knows by the time she was a year old, picking up on vocal cues and hand signals easily. Training time is one of the most exciting parts of her day, and she is always looking to do better, whether it's tweaking how she sits, or waiting for the moment when we release her from laying down, she is always open to making changes. We've trained Willow to not go upstairs or in rooms with carpet, to not jump on sofas or counters, to leave a room when we tell her to, to stay out of the kitchen, and to not come inside until she's invited. Willow knows over ten tricks and does them without any effort or hesitation. She not only masters these tricks and listens well, but she also loves to learn new ones! We're confident that these amazing characteristics will be passed on to her puppies!

Willow is a "field-bred golden retriever", meaning that she is smaller (this makes it easier to swim in water for hunting), has a smoother, more water resistant coat (for water-focused activities), is athletic, tall, slim, and more elegant-looking than the common "show golden retriever." Willow has adorable, expressive brown eyes with black liner around them to make them stand out, as well as a black nose and black paws. Her red coat is extremely low maintenance, velvety soft, and waves slightly around her ears and tail. Willow is smaller than the average golden retriever, only weighing in at 53 pounds and standing 25 inches at the shoulder. All of these traits, combined with her stunning red coloring and stellar genetic lineage, make her the perfect miniature golden retriever mama! 

Aspen comes from our very own Willow and Flint Steel! She is embark tested for all sorts of health concerns and traits and has passed every one of them! Aspen is  63.5% golden retriever, 21.8% standard poodle, 14.7% small poodle. Aspen is 100% clear​ on Genetic Testing (through parentage and Embark), has a normal pen-hip ratio, and has good elbows and eyes. Aspen has been health checked by a veterinarian, has had all her deworming and vaccines, and is fed PawTree kibble to ensure good health and temperament. Aspen is completely clear of the IVDD gene (common in poodles, spaniels, and other small breeds), carries the TT gene for lower shedding, and she has 6/10 red genes for coloring. 

Aspen has a very sweet, cuddly, observant, and loyal personality. She loves to rest her head in your hands while you pet her, lay down beside you when she's tired, or play fetch around the backyard. She isn't a huge fan or baths or water, but she loves to go on walks, runs, and hikes around our neighborhood whenever she has the chance! Aspen can be a little shy when meeting new animals, but new people are quick to learn just how sweet and loving she is! As for her trainability, Aspen learned most of the tricks she knows by the time she was six months old! Training time is one of the most excitable parts of her day, and - as she is so smart, eager-to-please, and can easily figure out what we want her to do - she picks up on things quickly and efficiently.  We've trained Aspen to not go upstairs or in rooms with carpet, to not jump on sofas or counters, to leave a room when we tell her to, to stay out of the kitchen, and to not come inside until she's invited. Aspen knows over ten tricks, and is proving she will know even more than her mama. She not only masters these tricks and listens well, but she also loves to learn new ones! We're confident that these amazing characteristics will be passed on to her puppies!

Aspen is considered a flat-haired (unfurnished) miniature goldendoodle. This means that she has the low-shedding coat, smaller size, and extra intelligence from the poodle, but the wavy coat, soulful eyes, and personality from the golden retriever! Aspen has adorable, expressive brown eyes with black liner around them to make them stand out, as well as a black nose and black paws. Her red and white coat It is extremely low maintenance, velvety soft, and waves slightly around her ears and tail. Aspen has a white chest, a partially white paw, and a ring of white fur around her throat, which looks very unique! Aspen is considered a small golden retriever (larger than a toy golden retriever, but smaller than a field-bred golden retriever), only weighing 40 pounds and standing 23" at the shoulder. All of these traits, combined with her stunning red coloring and stellar genetic lineage, make her the perfect miniature golden retriever mama! We will be planning Aspen's first litter in late 2025 or early 2026. 

 London comes from our very own Willow and Flint Steel! She has been tested through Embark for a wide range of health conditions and traits and has passed every single one! London is  61.7% Golden Retriever, 19.4% Poodle (Standard), and 18.9% Poodle (Small).

 She is completely clear on genetic testing (through both parentage and Embark), has a normal pen-hip score, and boasts excellent elbows and eye health. London has been thoroughly checked by our vet, is current on all her deworming and vaccines, and is fed PawTree kibble to keep her in top condition, both physically and temperamentally. London is fully clear of the IVDD gene (a common concern in poodles, spaniels, and other small breeds), carries the TT gene for reduced shedding, and (even though it doesn't look like it) has 6/10 red genes for her beautiful coloring, just like Aspen! 

London has a very happy, go-lucky, excited, and endlessly-optimistic personality! When I say she is the happiest dog I've ever met, I mean it! She loves to fetch anything you throw, from plastic water-bottles to rubber balls. She loves to run around the yard, give you lots of kisses, and rest her head in your hand while you pet her. While she’s not a big fan of baths, she absolutely adores swimming in the ponds and lakes around our land with her mama! London is excited to meet anyone and everyone, and while that's gotten her into trouble with a few cranky cats, she is still always outgoing and happy with any person - and animal - she meets. As for her intelligence, London learned most of her current tricks before she was even seven months old! Training sessions are one of the highlights of her day, and thanks to her eagerness to please and wish to do things correctly, she adores getting treats and pets from us anytime she does something right! We’ve trained London not to go upstairs or into carpeted rooms, to stay off counters and furniture, to leave rooms when told, to avoid the kitchen, and to wait to come inside until she’s invited. London already knows over eight tricks and is hoping to catch up to her mama and sister soon! We’re confident that these outstanding qualities will be passed on to her puppies! 

London is a flat-haired (unfurnished) miniature goldendoodle, which means she combines the poodle’s intelligence, low-shedding coat, and smaller size with the golden retriever’s wavy fur, soulful eyes, and wonderful personality. London has striking brown eyes lined with black that make them pop, along with a black nose and black paw pads. Her dark gold and white fur is very smooth and low-shedding (the easiest to manage of all our dogs) and ranges in different shades of gold and red that results in beautiful and classy fur! London is considered a small golden retriever—larger than a toy golden retriever but smaller than a field-bred golden retriever—weighing 39 pounds and standing 23.5 inches at the shoulder. Her gorgeous red coat, exceptional genetics, and amazing personality make her an ideal candidate to be a miniature golden retriever mama. We are planning London’s first litter for early 2025!

 Daisy is one of our own, born from Willow and Ranger! She’s been thoroughly health-tested through Embark, covering a broad range of traits and conditions, and came through with great results. Her breed makeup is 77.2% Golden Retriever and 22.8% Cocker Spaniel. While she does carry one copy of the IVDD gene—a concern sometimes found in smaller breeds like poodles and spaniels—she also carries the TT gene for reduced shedding and has an impressive 7 out of 10 red intensity genes for that lovely coat... the most red of all our girls! Daisy has been cleared by our vet, is up to date on all her vaccines and deworming, and we will be doing her OFA testing on her hips, eyes, and heart in a few months! She’s kept in peak shape with PawTree kibble, supporting both her physical condition and her sweet, balanced temperament.

Daisy has one of the most well-rounded and charming personalities we’ve ever seen in a dog. She’s confident and independent, but also deeply loyal and affectionate with her people. She’s incredibly smart—picking up new tricks with ease—and loves the mental challenge of training just as much as she enjoys a good cuddle. Daisy is playful and curious, always ready to explore the yard or join in on games with the other dogs. She also has an easy-going, happy nature and a snuggly side that loves belly rubs, napping in cozy, blanket-wrapped bundles, and watching movies at your feet.

Though she enjoys her freedom and has a bit of an adventurous streak, Daisy is attentive and eager to please. She’s already mastered good manners around people and other dogs, and continues to impress us with her quick learning and reliable obedience. Whether she’s basking in the sunshine, lounging peacefully, or bounding around the yard with joyful energy, Daisy brings light to everyone she meets. We’re confident her intelligence, warmth, and sweet, spirited temperament will shine through in her puppies too!

 Daisy is a stunning golden cocker retriever—a unique blend of golden retriever and cocker spaniel that brings together the best of both breeds. From the cocker spaniel side, she inherits her cleverness, manageable size, and a silky, low-shedding coat. From the golden retriever, she gets that signature wavy fur, warm-hearted nature, and those expressive, soulful eyes that seem to understand everything.

Her eyes are a rich, chocolate brown, framed with a natural black lining that gives them extra depth. She has a shiny black nose and matching paw pads that contrast beautifully with her luxurious coat. Daisy’s fur is an elegant mix of deep reds, rich golds, and creamy highlights—smooth, soft, and almost iridescent in the sunlight. Her coloring has an almost glowy quality to it, and she turns heads wherever she goes.

Size-wise, Daisy falls in the sweet spot: bigger than a toy golden retriever, but a little more petite than the average field-style golden. With her radiant coat, lovely structure, and winning temperament, Daisy is a perfect fit for our miniature golden retriever program.

Tulip is one of our homegrown girls, the daughter of Willow and Ranger! She’s been DNA-tested through Embark and came back with excellent results across a wide range of health traits. Her genetics are 71.5% Golden Retriever and 28.5% Cocker Spaniel—an ideal blend for creating the look and temperament we love in our miniature golden program.

Tulip is completely free of the IVDD gene, a common concern in smaller breeds, and she carries the merle gene, which doesn’t affect health but can influence coat and eye color in fascinating ways. This gives her the potential to produce puppies with striking blue, green, or hazel eyes. Genetically, she also has five red intensity genes and five white intensity genes, meaning she can be paired with a variety of studs and produce puppies in a wide range of beautiful colors.

She’s up to date on vaccines and deworming, has been cleared by our vet, and will be completing her OFA evaluations for hips, heart, and eyes in the coming months. We keep her thriving with a diet of PawTree kibble, which supports her strong body and happy and playful nature! 

Tulip is a bright, social girl who absolutely loves being part of the action. She’s playful and outgoing, always the first to bounce up for a game or to greet someone new with enthusiasm. There’s a confidence in the way she moves and interacts—never shy, always curious, and eager to explore whatever catches her interest.

She’s especially driven when she knows her people are happy—it's like she feeds off the joy around her and adds to it tenfold. Tulip is happy nearly all the time, with a tail that rarely stops wagging and a spirit that’s genuinely infectious. She adores chin scratches, chasing through the yard, splashing in the sprinklers, and giving as many face licks as she can get away with.

Tulip thrives on connection and fun. She plays beautifully with dogs and humans alike and has a natural way of making everyone feel like they’re her favorite. Adventurous yet affectionate, lighthearted yet full of energy—Tulip’s blend of personality makes her a joy to be around, and we’re so excited to see those qualities passed on to her future puppies.

Tulip is a golden cocker retriever, a mix of golden retriever and cocker spaniel that combines the best of both breeds. She has the intelligence and smaller size of a cocker spaniel, along with the loyal, friendly nature and classic coat of a golden retriever.

Her coat is light gold with white streaks throughout, and she has the fluffy fur and feathering you’d expect from a golden. Tulip’s eyes are partially brown and partially blue, giving her a unique look, and they’re outlined with black pigment that makes them stand out. She also has a black nose, black paw pads, and soft, slightly crimped ears.

She’s a medium-sized dog—bigger than a toy golden retriever but smaller than a typical field-bred golden. With her pretty coloring, good structure, and easygoing temperament, Tulip is a great fit for our miniature golden retriever program!
